The cottage is located in one of the most scenic and attractive parts of Guernsey with green lanes, spectacular cliff paths and beautiful sandy beaches on the doorstep or within a few minutes walk. There is a network of cycle routes in the area, mostly on quiet country lanes. The cottage is on Visit Guernsey’s “Cliffs and Country Lanes” cycle route.
There is a Morrison mini supermarket about 20 minutes walk away. This is open seven days a week and has a butchery, bakery, off-licence and a good selection of fresh and frozen foods. Opening Times, Monday – Saturday, 7am – 9pm, Sunday: 8am – 8pm.
The Imperial Hotel is about 20 minutes walk through the lanes and along the beach. They have two bars, a restaurant, and a large alfresco dining area. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Across the road from the hotel is a traditional beach cafe serving crab sandwiches etc.
There are bus routes within 5 minutes walk of the property, but as we are in the country the bus services do not run late at night, except on Fridays and Saturdays during the summer months (N.b. Bus timetables available at www.buses.gg).
Some of our guests enjoy fishing trips with a local skipper, Richard Keen, whom we would be pleased to put you in contact with.
